Stephen & I are looking to purchase tickets soon for our furlough in America. There are quite a few decisions to be made about what events we go back for and who we work around; how long we leave here and how long we stay there. And as the chips are falling, it’s looking harder and harder to keep everyone happy; and less obvious what we should do.
This morning over breakfast, Stephen included this in his prayer:
“…I pray for wisdom. I pray Your will would be done, and that Your will would make the most people happy.”
Sounds like a people pleaser’s prayer to me.
Sherie Cartwright says
I’ll agree with that prayer.

Sounds like one to me also! Though I think we all try to adjust our words and actions to please people–maybe not to just please them, but treat them with gentleness…
